I purchased this phone less than 6 months ago at a local store. Recently, I picked it up and heard a noisy interference sound in all of the handsets. I tried another phone to make sure it wasn't a problem with the line, it sounded fine. I took my Vtech to a neighbor's house to confirm it was the unit and it again sounded bad. I contacted the company and they informed me that the warranty was only good if I paid for shipping both ways. I bought this system to replace a Vtech system that lasted about 2 years and had the same noisy problem. My advice is don't buy it unless you are willing to purchase an extended warranty so you can take it back to a store no questions asked. I will never buy a Vtech phone system again. They stink and their customer service made very little effort to try and solve my problem or keep me as a customer.
